The Constitution of Forums

* MOST IMPORTANT RULE
Be considerate of others. Do not cause distress to other members.


All rules, in black and bold text, are followed by their respective descriptions and penalties.

New forum members must make an introduction thread.
ALL newly registered members must introduce themselves by making a thread in the Introduction section within 24 hours of their registration date. Lack of an introduction will result in account removal. This does not mean one cannot rejoin the forum, as long as the proper introduction thread is made next time.

Profile icons, signatures, & generally all posted images have size limits.
Avatars can be a maximum of 150 x 200 pixels.
Signatures can be a maximum of 600x200 pixels. This includes the image, text, AND spoilers, but not the credit text.
Also, please use a spoiler for large images (more than 500 x 500 pixels) and consecutive images in threads. This rule is to prevent other members from lagging due to image bandwidth.
Posting large images will result in a Level 1 Penalty. The staff will place the large image in a spoiler or delete it.

Objectionable material is not allowed.
Discussion or posting URLs to websites with adult content is prohibited. All offensive material will be deleted upon sight. This includes pornography, racist content, drug promotion, gruesome violence, and horrifying images/words/logos that may scare other members. Please keep it PG-13. Appropriate threads discussing 18+ topics must have "[MATURE]" in the topic title, as well as no illegal material within them.
Posting inappropriate material will result in a penalty depending on the severity.

Chatbox spamming is not allowed.
Videos and drawings are not allowed to be posted in the chatbox unless they are advertised by a single, non-spammed URL.
Images over 150x150 are not allowed to be posted in the chatbox.
The staff are the only members allowed to change their chatbox font size, and only for announcements.
Explicit content in the chatbox is also as prohibited as it is in the forum.
Follow these rules even if you are alone in the chatbox to prevent forum lagging.
Chatbox spamming will result in a Level 1 Penalty.

"Flaming" is not allowed.
Do not insult another member. Posts used to attack an individual in the FML section must keep the victim anonymous. If you do not like a member, simply ignore them by putting them on your Foe List on your profile.
"Flaming" will result in a Level 1 Penalty. The offensive post may also be deleted, depending on the severity.

"Trolling" or "flame baiting" is not allowed.
Do not post comments that purposely upset, anger, or irritate members of the community due to offensiveness or stupidity. Any posts that are only made to upset other members will be considered "trolling" posts. Use your common sense and maturity when posting.
"Trolling" will result in a penalty depending on severity. The post/thread will also be locked or deleted.

Illegal topic discussion is not allowed.
Discussing ways to do illegal activities such as pirating software is STRICTLY forbidden. Our community does NOT promote the usage of illegal software. Hacking, botting and black market discussions also go against our rules. This forum is 100% legal.
Discussing extremely personal or contradictory things (i.e. forced religion topics, a person's private information, etc.) is also inappropriate.
Illegal Discussion will result in a penalty depending on severity.

Spamming is not allowed.
Spamming is the act of posting in a thread something that is completely unrelated to the topic. Any posts within a thread which do not contribute to the thread whatsoever will be considered spam, depending on the discretion of a staff member.

"Double-posting," or "bumping" a thread is not allowed
If the last post in a topic was posted by you, please do not post again until someone posts after you. It will be considered "double-posting" or "bumping." This rule is written to keep the forum organized. If you have more to write in your post, you are welcome to use the "edit" button near your post to edit your last post.
Users posting updates in any gallery, request, or shop thread of theirs are allowed to "bump" their thread up once every hour to reveal their updates. This only goes for the THREAD OWNER.
"Double-Posting" or "bumping" will result in a Level 1 Penalty.

Disrespecting the staff members is not allowed.
This warning is considered similar to a “flaming” warning but it is mostly centered on insults toward moderator actions or judgment. Our staff is here to make the forum a friendly one. If you have any suggestions to the staff, please PM them and be polite about it. Otherwise, you won't get any results.
Disrespecting the staff will result in a penalty depending on severity.

Whining about penalties/warns without a reason is not allowed.
The staff will only warn members if they have broken a rule. If you wish to dispute your warn, please take it maturely and into the Court of Mapleology section.
If you inappropriately whine about a warn or a ban, your penalty will become more severe.

Having multiple Accounts is not allowed.
Each member is entitled to one account and one account only, of which they are responsible for all the penalties on it. The only exception to this rule is if there is something compelling you from using your original account, and it is not because of a ban. In any case, you must contact a moderator or admin if you have a legitimate excuse to create another account.
Unjustly having multiple accounts will result in all of the accounts being removed, even the original.

Advertising & referral links are not allowed
If you do not have permission from a staff member to advertise you or your friend's website, don't advertise it! Mapleology is not here for your own personal and/or financial gain. As for linking to sites that may become useful, such as resources, you are free to link to them in the appropriate forum section.(continued)
Inappropriate advertising will result in a penalty depending on severity.

Inactive accounts are subject to removal.
An account is inactive if it has not been used in 100 days and has a post count under 10 since its registration,
Inactive accounts will be deleted.

The staff of the Shake It Up! forum asks of thee to follow the rules above.
Our staff will not penalize you for other reasons, and we will tell you what you have been penalized for through an edit to your rule-breaking post, or a private message e-mailed to you.
All rules were created in order to make the Shake It Up! forum a safe and happy community for discussion and progress.
If you have a problem with any of our rules or policies, please state a legitimate and mature reason in a private message to any of the Administrators or Moderators.

PENALTIES, WARNS, BANS, AND CONSEQUENCES


None of these offenses are bound to their penalties.
Penalties may advance their level if the offense is repeated or severe.
Also, if a member has over 80 warn points, they will be temporarily banned.
If they have over 100, they will be permanently banned.


Level 3 - I.P. Address Ban / Permanent Ban
- Having more than one account
- If you are caught hacking

Level 2 - Temporary Ban or Account Removal
- Lack of Introduction Thread
- Disrespect of Authority
- Flaming another member (Includes Admins & Mods)
- Failure at life & General Idiocy (Please read defined section above)

Level 1 - 10 Point Warn
- Starting illegal or controversial discussion (To a certain extent, the user may be banned)
- If you are found posting explicit images in a TOPIC/THREAD.
- Flaming out other members
- Discussing hacker RELATED topics.
- Over-sized or explicit signature or image icon
- Double posting
- Warning Whining
- Advertising without permission from a Moderator or Administrator.
- Any chatbox related broken rule (Please read the above)

If you have just read this section and not the above post, do not think you know all of our rules, these are just showing you the consequences of certain rules. Warns are kept track of by the Admin. If you have any question about how many warning points you have, please PM the Admin, CeCe. You will be PM when you have received a warn and on your post where you have received a warn, there will be a reply saying what kind on warn you have received. Thank you for reading.
